What Are Games? WE are Games. We hope you don’t mind, but games are all that we care about and EVERY SINGLE GAME we design will be fun. Because if it’s not fun, what’s the point? Systems mean nothing without inspiration. Graphics mean nothing without art. Games mean nothing without fun. The A Staircase Above Studios team find ourselves playing the old 8-bit and 16-bit games as much as, if not more than, the current-gen/next-gen systems' games. Why? Because we like to play fun games. If a game is fun, it doesn't make a difference what system or what generation it’s from.
“Back to the Roots”
Do you remember when you would keep playing a game and lose all track of time? When the only reason that you stopped playing was because you had to… due to the sun coming back up? Or how about when a game just dropped your jaw and you sat there starring at the screen thinking, "Wow, just... wow”? A Staircase Above Studios wants to take the gaming experience back to those moments. It was all about the game, the fun, the enjoyment that you felt and the need to keep playing to discover the rest of the story or to see what the gameplay had in store for you on the next level. How many controllers did you break in frustration? How many times did you cheer for joy because you finally accomplished a mission? Or screamed in defeat because you were crushed by an enemy? This… this is what we hope to attain with EVERY SINGLE GAME we develop.

A Staircase Above Studios promises to give you an experience that you will remember and an adventure that will keep you wanting more. Pressing start will mean more than just beginning a game. We want to touch every one of your emotions with EVERY SINGLE GAME. We hope to make you worry, laugh and possibly even shed a tear as you navigate along your voyage. We want every quest to be sincere and relatable in some way, shape or form. Our games will be a place where innovation and old school meet and coincide smoothly and logically. We know there are games that you will never forget. It is our goal that someday you will honor us and our games in that same way.
